Asmi Shrestha- Miss Nepal 2016

The titleholder of Miss Nepal 2016, Asmi Shrestha is a famous and talented Nepalese fashion model and also an interior designer. She is the 21st Miss Nepal who represented Nepal at the Miss World 2016 contest. She was also the winner of the Face of Classic Diamond Jewellers competition in 2014.

Early life and Education

Asmi Shrestha was born on 30 June 1993, in Tandi, Chitwan. She belongs to a businessman family.

She got her school level education from Malpi International School. Similarly, she completed her bachelor’s studies in Business Administration (BBA) from Ace Institute of Management in 2016.

Career

She started her modelling career at the age of 16 by entering the Classic Diamond Jewellers in 2010.
Asmi Shrestha was featured in Sonam Tashi Gurung’s music video called “Birsana Sakina” in 2012.
Later in 2016 she competed in the Face of Diamond category at the Classic Diamond Jewellers and held the main title of that beauty pageant.

Miss Nepal 2016

The Miss Nepal 2016 beauty pageant was organised by The Hidden Treasure at the DurbarMarg-based hotel de l’Annapurna. Asmi Shrestha participated in the Miss Nepal 2016 competition as contestant number 11. She won the title of Miss Nepal 2016 beating the tough other 18 contestants at the beauty pageant’s grand finale.
She also won Best Evening Gown, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Personality before taking the title of Miss Nepal World 2016.
