BTS a k-pop boy group band known as Bangtang Boys is a seven-member South Korean boy band. They began formation in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. They were the first band to sell one million copies in South Korea. By 2017, BTS crossed into the global music market, leading the Korean Wave into the United States and breaking numerous sales records. In 2020, BTS became the first all-South Korean act to reach number one on the Billboard Global 200 and US Billboard Hot 100 with their Grammy-nominated single “Dynamite” and, with the release of “Life Goes On”, became the first group to have two number one debuts on the Hot 100. BTS is the best-selling artist in South Korean history and holds the best-selling album in South Korea with Map of the Soul: 7.

KIM NAMJOON
He is the leader of BTS, better known by his stage name RM (formerly Rap Monster or Real Me). Kim Nam-Joon was born on September 12, 1994, in Dongjak-gu, South Korea, and grew up in Ilsan-gu. He is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. RM selected the name “Rap Monster” during his time as an idol trainee, which means he “raps like a monster”. In November 2017, he formally changed his stage name to “RM” as a “REAL ME”. He had an IQ of 148.
KIM SEOK-JIN
Kim Seok-jin, also known by his stage name Jin, was born on December 4, 1992, in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. He is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and member of the BTS since June 2013. He is also known as a Worldwide Handsome. Apart from singing, Kim has also appeared as a host on multiple South Korean music programs from 2016 to 2018.
MIN YOONGI
Min Yoon-gi was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea. He is mainly known as SUGA and AGUST D. He debuted as a member of BTS in 2013. Min Yoongi is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and record producer. The stage name Suga is derived from the term shooting guard, the position he played in basketball as a student. In 2016 he released his mixtape AGUST D, which is derived from the initials DT, short for his birthplace, Daegu Town, and “Suga” spelt backwards.
JUNG HOSEOK
Jung Ho-Seok is better known by J-Hope, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer. He was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju, South Korea. His stage name, J-Hope comes from his desire to represent hope for fans(ARMY), as well as to be “the hope of BTS.”
PARK JIMIN
Park Ji-min is a South Korean singer, songwriter, dancer, and member of the BTS. He was born on October 13, 1995, in Geumjeong District, Busan, South Korea. He is known as JIMIN. He is regarded as an exceptional dancer among the members of the group and in K-pop in general. Jimin’s vocals have been described as delicate and sweet.
KIM TAEHUYNG
Kim Tae-Hyung, also known by his stage name V, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He was born on December 30, 1995, in the Seo District of Daegu, South Korea, and grew up in Geochang County. V’s musicality is heavily influenced by his love for jazz and classical music. Taehyung stage name V stands for Victory.
JEON JUNGKOOK
Jeon Jung-kook is the youngest member and vocalist of the BTS. He was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea. His stage name is Jungkook. Jungkook is also extremely popular on social media amongst fans. His popularity has earned him the nickname “Sold Out King” as items that he is seen using often sell out quickly.
