She became the first Miss Nepal to enter in the Semi-Final Spot in the Miss Universe. A Miss Universe pageant that was held at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, a northern suburb of Bangkok, Thailand. She is one of the most talented and generous girl. Early Life & Education

Manita Devkota was born on 11 April 1996 in the beautiful districts of Nepal, Gorkha. She completed her schooling in Nepal. She spent most of her childhood in Gorkha. Then later Manita and her family move to the US for further study and for a bright future. She has completed her Public Health Degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Currently, she lives in North Carolina, United States. She has managed her education and housing while she was at a university by working in two jobs as a librarian and as a Barista.

Manita Devkota’s Career

She was interested in beauty pageant since her childhood. NRN gave her a chance to participate in Miss Nepal and she won the Miss Nepal Universe 2018 and represent in Miss Universe 2018. She was called “The Dark Horse” in Miss Universe Competition, as her Dedication, self-confidence, determination, and willpower make her a strong contender at Miss Universe competition and was surprised and impressing everyone. She is an ambassador of women’s health day for Girls International. She has worked with many organizations like ‘She’s the first’ and ‘Days for Girls’ to fulfill her passions. She is working to change the stigmas and obstacles that menstruating women and girls face in Nepal.

In 2017, she has taken part a in protest Women’s March to support marginalised individuals and issues.
