Early Life and Education

Even though she was born in Dharan she spent most of the childhood in Kathmandu capital city of Nepal. She complected her schooling Shrestha joined KIST College in Kathmandu, Nepal and completed higher school in Science. Later she studied the bachelor’s degree in media science. Namrata Shrestha was very interested in dancing, singing and acting from an early age. She started her glamorous career by appearing on the cover of Navyaata Magazine in 2005.

Namrata Shrestha career in Movie

Shrestha began her film career in 2008 and made her breakthrough playing “Reetu” in the romantic comedy film Sano Sansar directed by Alok Nengbang. After the release of Sano Sansar raised her profile, she was cast for Mero Euta Saathi Cha (2009). Later in 2010, she appeared on First Love movie as a guest appearance and as a sponsor in a short film for HIV Aids Awareness. In 2013 she appeared in the Nepali movie Chhadke as Soli (an aggressive young woman involved in a local gang). Then she played as a deaf and mute girl in the movie Maun (2013) for this role she had training in sign language. Namrata won Best Actor (female) 2014 in INFA Awards from this movie.
