Born on 27th February 1987 in Kathmandu, she has a younger brother Pranit Karki living in the United States. Priyanka Karki is one of the most popular actresses, model, former Miss Teen Nepal, VJ, an aspiring singer, and a dancer. She started to climb the stairs of success at a very young age.

Education and career

She completed her A-level education from Rato Bangla school and after completing, she joined the University of North Alabama in the USA for a bachelor’s degree in the subject of filmmaking. Before entering into the Nepalese film industry, she worked as VJ for Kantipur Television hosting the show Celluloid and The Glam Factor. She had participated in the Miss International UNA beauty pageant at her University, University of North Alabama.

In 2013, she has been voted as the 4^th sexiest woman in Nepal according to the survey by Folio magazine. She then got a chance to act in a comedy TV serial named Ghar Beti Ba. Priyanka inter into the Nepalese film industry from the movie Mero Best Friend but according to released date 3 Lover was the first movie. Both movies ware not commercially successful. She won the “OFA Popular Debutant Actress Award” in her first movie “3 Lovers” in 2012. Priyanka got a chance to play the movie opposite the Dayahang Rai in Jholey which was released in 2014. Jholey helped to rose her to fame. Now, she is the most popular actress in the Nepalese Film Industry.

Priyanka movie Aawaran launched her as a singer in the Nepali music industry. The song of Aawaran in collaboration with Yama Buddha was a blockbuster where Priyanka’s singing abilities were highly appreciated. Priyanka recorded Bachchu Kailash’s classic ‘Timi Le Ta Hoina” in her voice with a simple video. The video got more than 50,000 views and 500 shares in less than 24 hours. She has sung many beautiful songs. She released her own single album titled ‘ swatantra’ as a new year gift to her good wishes which celebrate the spirit of freedom. On Valentine’s day 2016, she released another beautiful and soothing cover song, “ Maya Ta Maya Ho’ with AyushmanDeshraj Shrestha’ which has a million views on youtube.
