Early Life, Family & Education

Paramita aka Pam was born on October 2, 1993, in Lalitpur, Nepal. She finished her schooling from St. Mary’s High School and also finished high school from the same school. She is from a celebrity family. Her mother is Riya Rana, one of the first-generation supermodels of Nepal. Riya had also established herself in the modeling field before marriage. After marriage, she was more focused on the family. But Pam’s father died when she was only 4-years-old. After, Riya’s life had been a huge struggle. She used to look after her beautiful daughter and her work. Seeing so much of struggle done by her mother, Paramita also started working very hard and made her own mother her inspiration. She had wanted to be an astronaut. But, after she grew up, she was more attracted to modeling than in science.

Career

She started her career from modeling at the age of 17. Since then she has managed to be the cover girl of various Nepali magazines and strutted on all the top-notch fashion shows of Nepal. She had cat-walked in almost 100 ramps and was featured in a lot of print ads. In addition to in-country assignments, she was also featured in a biscuit TVC in Sri Lanka. In 2014, she was selected for an international television advertisement in Sri Lanka for the cricket World Cup. In 2015, she represented Nepal in the Asia model festival and walked for some famous national and international designers. Earlier in 2016, Parimata was also one of the top 10 models in the Asia New Star Model Contest held in South Korea. Paramita had participated in the Face of Classic Diamond Jewellers 2014 beauty contest.
