The lockdown has sparked a boom in families re-watching classic TV shows and Ramayan and Mahabharat more at that. In one of the scenes that went viral in TikTok, on the battlefield amongst many other dead soldiers lying around, one of them may be lost his patience and looked up. But as soon as he saw that the camera is still rolling, he goes back to pretending to be dead. This scene went so viral that people began to spend their time re-watching the classic TV Shows to remain occupied and entertained during Lockdown. Moreover, it was more of a family time enjoying shows together.

What more swept the internet in 2020?

  • The case of George Floyd brought the “Black Lives Matters” movement around the world supporting the end of racism.
  • Netflix Shows were people’s pass-the-time activity.
  • K-pop BTS and BlackPink’s album made it to the top 10 most popular music albums in 2020 globally.
