Buddha Lama was born on August 5, 1997, in Dhading but he didn’t spend a single year there. After his birth, his family moved to the Pokhara. He spent his childhood in Pokhara and finished his schooling and higher education from Pokhara, Kaski district. From his childhood, he was very much interested in singing and wanted to become a famous singer. His parents worked in a hospital as a service person and belonged to a low economy family. It was really hard for his family to sustain their life for food and clothing as their economic status wasn’t good enough.

Career and Success

As he was from a low economy family, his career started at a very young age. He started his musical career from an early age and used to participate in a different musical competition. He joined various musical classes for free and later he got to work in Lok Dohori Sajh for his living which helped him to enhance and sharpen his vocal. In 2074, he found the best platform Nepal idol to show his talent and a long time of hard work he became Nepal’s first idol. He was totally unknown before participating in Nepal Idol. He rose to fame after winning the title and becoming the first winner of the Nepalese TV series Nepal Idol. As of today he is best known as Nepal Idol winner. Today he is one of the most famous singers in Nepal and he has sung dozens of songs which are very popular all over the country.

He managed to win the show with the prize of 20 Lakhs NPR, an album deal, and a contract worth of 15 Lakhs. After winning Nepal Idol, he went to the Nepal Idol Worldwide Tour with Nishan Bhattarai and Pratap Das. He was also in limelight due to his row with the organizers regarding the prize money.
