Early Life & Education

Malina Joshi was born on 27 January 1989, in Dharan. She spent most of her childhood in Dharan. Malina completed her schoolings from her birthplace. She finished her secondary education at Dharan Higher Secondary School. After SLC, she moved to Kathmandu for her further study and successfully achieved her MBA degree specialized in Marketing from the Ace Institute of Management. She was a very less speaking and introverted type of person in her childhood. She claims her father is the source of motivation for everything she has obtained to date.

Career

Malina Joshi debuted from the movie Ritu which was shot in Australia. The movie was a hit and consequently, a film directed by Manoj Adhikari along with Raj Ballav Koirala and Reema Bishwakarma. She starred in some other movies including ‘The Winner’, ‘Jhumkee’ and so on.

She is Miss Nepal 2011. Beating 18 contestants she won the title of Miss Nepal. She represented Nepal in Miss World 2011 which was held on 4 November 2011 in London. She was also on the top-30 for Beauty with a Purpose title, a major award at Miss World. In 2013, she participated Miss Supertalent of the World and she became top 7. She was also among the top five finalists in Miss Angel 2010 contest. Although she did not win, she attained the Miss Intellect title award. She also participated in Miss Asia Pacific world in 2013 where she ended as one of the 15 semi-finalists in the pageant held in Seoul, Korea.
