Early life
Ariana Grande-Butera was born on June 26, 1993, in Boca Raton, Florida. She described herself as being an Italian American as she has Italian descent. She is the youngest daughter of Joan Grande, the Brooklyn-born CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, a manufacturer of communications and safety equipment, and Edward Butera, a graphic designer. Her family moved from New York to Florida before her birth, and her parents separated when she was about nine or ten years old.

Grande began her career at age 15 in the 2008 Broadway musical 13. At the age of 16, she rose to fame for her role as Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious and Sam & Cat with 5.7 million viewers. She also played the role of Miriam in the musical Cuba Libre.
She wanted to focus on her music career and began working on her debut album as the first season of Victorious was wrapped. So, to strengthen her vocal range, she began working with vocal coach Eric Vetro. The second season premiered in April 2011, becoming the highest-rated episode of Victorious with 6.2 million viewers. From 2011 to 2013, Grande voiced the fairy Princess Diaspro in the Nickelodeon revival of Winx Club.
In August 2011, she made several recordings of herself singing covers of songs by Adele, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, and uploaded them to YouTube. She signed with Republic Records after the label’s chairman saw videos and impressed by her vocals.
Grande released her first single, “Put Your Hearts Up“, in December 2011, but later the track was disowned for its bubblegum pop sound, saying that she had no interest in recording music of that genre. The song was later certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

2020 as the COVID pandemic was spread over the whole world. Grande and singer Justin Bieber released a collaboration song titled “Stuck With U” on May 8, 2020; and the sales of the song were donated to the First Responders Children’s Foundation in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Manchester Arena bombing and Activism

On 22 May 2017, an Islamist extremist suicide bomber detonated a shrapnel-laden homemade bomb as people were leaving the Manchester Arena following a concert by Ariana Grande. She was very excited about the Manchester Concert but everything became different after a suicide bombing attack. Twenty-three people died, including the attacker, and more than 800 were wounded, some of them children. Several hundred more suffered psychological trauma.
But not only the people who suffered from trauma but Grande herself suffered from anxiety. After she flew flown home to stay at her grandmother’s house in Boca Raton. She was unable to share her feelings, she couldn’t sing songs, and was unable to complete her tours. She started taking therapies and they cancelled tours.
But after two days of cancelling her tours, she called her manager Scooter Braun and decided to put on a concert in Manchester as ‘One Love Manchester’ to benefit the families that were affected.

They met with the families of the deceased. As the concert loomed, they were worried that people would be too afraid to show up. But more than 50,000 people turned out. A dozen other artists—including Justin Bieber, Coldplay and Katy Perry flew in to perform. Suffering from anxiety and massive fall, Ariana Grande stood up for the people and closed the concert night with a performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” with tears streaming down her face. It helped raise over $12 million for victims of the bombing and their families. The Manchester city named Grande an honorary citizen “a great many selfless acts and demonstrations of community spirit.”
Not only she stood up for the Manchester Arena bombing victims but she has stood up for many other situations and supported it to fight back. She participated in March for Our Lives to support gun control reform. She donated the proceeds from the first show in Atlanta on her Sweetener World Tour to Planned Parenthood in a response to the passage of a number of anti-abortion laws in several states including Georgia. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Grande donated between $500 and $1,000 each to a number of fans as financial support. Grande also supported a COVID-19 fund named Project 100, which aimed to provide $1,000 digital payments to 100,000 families who have been greatly impacted by the pandemic. Grande, and Scott and Brian Nicholson, her choreographers and friends, launched “Orange Twins Rescue”, an animal rescue centre based in Los Angeles. Grande and her brother Frankie performed and taught music and dance to children in Gugulethu, South Africa. Several of her songs, such as “Break Your Heart Right Back”, are supportive of LGBT rights. Personal Life and Relationship
Grande stated that she had hypoglycemia, which she attributed to poor dietary habits. She also suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety following the Manchester Arena bombing. Grande also stated she has been in therapy for over a decade, having first seen a mental health professional shortly after her parents divorced.
Grande began dating actor and comedian Pete Davidson in 2018 and announced their engagement in June of that year. But Davidson and Grande called off their engagement and ended their relationship in October 2018.
In December 2020, Grande became engaged to real estate agent Dalton Gomez and to date, she is dating him.
